The group acquires JO Flagstang

In 2024, Danomast A/S acquired all shares of JO Flagstang, a well-known Danish e-commerce retailer specialising in flagpoles and accessories. The company now becomes part of the Formenta Group, further strengthening the Group’s position in the Nordic market.

The Nyholm family receives the Nothin Award

In 2022, the Nyholm family received the prestigious Nothin Award in recognition of their work in developing and growing the Formenta Group. The award celebrates entrepreneurial excellence and long-term contributions to Swedish industry.

Formenta installs 600 solar panels in Värnamo

In 2022, Formenta installed 600 solar panels on its factory in Värnamo, Sweden. The installation provides an annual production of approximately 230,000 kWh, strengthening the company’s long-term sustainability efforts.

The group acquires Jansson & Partner

In 2022, the Formenta Group acquired all shares of Jansson & Partner, founded in 1980, from Tony Jansson and his family. Jansson & Partner brings deep expertise and a strong product range within outdoor waste bins and is a well-established and reputable brand in the industry.

Formenta is awarded the Architecture Prize

In 2021, Formenta — together with architect Magnus Thureborn, landscape architects Mareld, and interior architects RumRum from Malmö — is awarded Värnamo Municipality’s Architecture Prize.

The jury’s motivation:
"The building is elegant in its simplicity, refined in its relatively large scale, and striking in its contrast between a strictly closed volume and a highly generous open glass façade on the northern office section. It is a building with clarity and a strong identity, one that stands out and asserts its presence both within the industrial area and to travellers along the E4 motorway."

Henrik Nyholm and Eric Smith accepted to Prince Daniel's Fellowship

Henrik Nyholm and Eric Smith, founders of Uteprodukter.se, have been accepted to Prince Daniel's Fellowship. The two-year programme gives the participants the opportunity to develop their business together with selected mentors from Swedish trade and industry. The mentor for Uteprodukter.se is Bo Lundevall, founder of Dustin.se.

Formenta builds a new factory

In 2019, Formenta presented the project of a new 5,700 sqm factory and headquarters in Värnamo, located by the E4 highway. The architect for the project is Magnus Thureborn and the landscape architect is MARELD, both based in Gothenburg. Formenta plans to move to the new location in early 2020.

Formenta Group acquires AB Fingal Johnsson & Söner

On 2 January 2019, Formenta Group completed the acquisition of the family-owned AB Fingal Johnsson & Söner, founded in 1928. Fingal Johnsson becomes a new brand within the Group and adds important products for safe outdoor lighting solutions.

Uteprodukter.se announced as one of Sweden's fastest-growing e-commerce companies

In 2017, Uteprodukter.se, founded in 2013, was announced as the 29th fastest-growing e-commerce company in Sweden by e-handel.se. Click here for the full list.

Kronan moves to new premises

In June 2017, Flaggfabriken Kronan moved to its newly built premises on Andesitgatan 14E in Helsingborg.

New Managing Director at Danomast

In 2017, Jess Lykke Pedersen was announced as the new Managing Director of Danomast A/S.

Henrik, Carl and Peter Nyholm were awarded Entrepreneurs of the Year 2014 in the City of Värnamo.

Formenta Group acquires Kronan

In June 2014, Formenta Group acquired the majority of shares in Flaggfabriken Kronan in Helsingborg, one of Sweden’s market leaders in commercial flags, founded in 1932. The acquisition of Kronan gives Formenta Group a wide range of products for outdoor visual communication.

Formenta Group acquires Danomast

Formenta Group acquired the majority of shares in Danomast A/S in Denmark and became one of the market leaders for fibreglass flagpoles worldwide. Danomast becomes a new brand within Formenta Group and opens up opportunities in several new markets.
